Common Drainage Issues
There are a number of reasons why drains are not correctly free flowing, the most common include..
Blockages: This being the most common of all and the most simple (usually) to fix. Blockages from tissue and wet wipe build up, un-flushable sanitary products and cooking fat/grease are all very common culprits for drainage blockages. The good news being, these can usually be cleared simply via high pressure jetting.
Root Intrusion: Properties with a lot of foliage and big trees in the surrounding area can find that roots have entered through a crack or joint of a drain line, which over time has grown the full diameter of the pipe due to the consistent water source. Specialised root cutting equipment is usually required to solve this issue.
Pipe Collapse: The worst case scenario for a drain blockage would be a pipe collapse found in the line. Subsidence, groundworks and age are possible reasons for this to occur. But fear not! There are now ways to repair without the dreaded digging! Drain lining can be a fast and cost-effective solution.
